Clarksdale, Mississippi

November 9, 2014

The horizon was aglow as the sun started to peak over the horizon. We were cuddled up in blankets and headed towards Clarksdale, MS. On the way, we stopped at this field. The way the fog rolled across the black dirt, we were mesmerized.
As we entered into Clarksdale, the first place we saw on the side of the road was The Shack Up Inn. We had heard so much about this cute little place so we just had to stop and check it out.

As we pulled into the town of Clarksdale, we noticed it was unusually quiet for a city of its size. It wasn't until we pulled into Ground Zero, Morgan Freeman's restaurant, that we discovered the whole town closes down on Sundays.

Along the way, we came across the local canoe shop. We were walking around outside taking a couple photos, when the owner, who also was outside, said hello and asked us if we would like a tour. Of course! He showed us some of the wooden canoes that they had already built and showed us the process of how they go about building them. It was awesome!! Check em out here
